Gearing up for Advent and Christmas

There’s a lot going on at St Andrew’s at this time of year.

The Christmas Bazaar will be Saturday 24th November 11am-3pm. There will be various stalls, including Raffle, Home made cakes, Tombola, Christmas Gifts, Bric a Brac, and more. This is a great opportunity to pick up some stocking-stuffers and support your local community at the same time. Father Christmas arrives at 1pm!

Our Patronal Festival for St Andrew’s Day will be held on 2nd December at 3pm: there will be no 10am Eucharist that day. There will be a dinner in the hall afterward, and this is a great chance to come and meet people if you find you aren’t at your best on Sunday mornings!

If singing is your thing, or if you’d like to try doing some choral singing, do join our Community Choir for the Carol Service. The service itself will be at 4.30pm on Sunday 16th December and will include a mixture of Advent and Christmas material. Rehearsals will be in the choir vestry at 7.30pm on Friday 23rd November, Thursday 29th November, Friday 7th December and Thursday 13th December, with an additional run-through on the day to be scheduled. Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to be able to read music! For more information contact Kathryn (artsyhonker@gmail.com) or come to the first rehearsal.
